Great visual feast, Peter. What a ride that was, with so many incredible moments. We started off solemnly with the death of the Georgian, then early disappointments, but then the fever began to build and the enthusiasm was met with success after success. Story after story lifted our hearts. Like the ski jumpers, we soared so high we could see our own selves. The twin hockey golds were unforgettable, and a fitting end to a wonderful Olympic experience. We started with Go Canada, but we finished with a collective Oh Canada!
I was unhappily surprised that Sumi, Miga, Quatchi and Mukmuk were completely absent from the opening and closing ceremonies. Those character designs made the Olympic run-up exciting for me. My nephew loves 'em.
