Halloween is tomorrow and I am sad. I am sad because my new adopted country does not celebrate it. I am sad because no one gets dressed up. I am sad because I do not see pumpkins, bats, witches, ghosts, or skeletons. I am sad because there are no costume parties or trick-or-treaters. I am sad because I am not ALLOWED to celebrate Halloween in my class. I am sad because I am not allowed to put up Halloween decorations in my class. I am sad because I am not allowed to carve pumicing or make paper ghosts with my class. I am sad because the children are not allowed to dress up and parade through the school...
I am sad because Halloween is a Pagan holiday, and apparently celebrating it goes against the school's religious policies...
Hmph.

That is terrible! Think Pagan thoughts all day.
you could wear secret halloween undies and celebrate all day long...
Is that a trilobite?!? You were a trilobite for Halloween?!?
Hey!
Nice costumes from the past - don't worry, we'll party it up next year when you are back in town!
Greg
Awww, poor you... no halloween. But what celebrations are there for Nov 5?? Isn't that a big deal? "Remember remember the fifth of november....."
Are you teaching at a Christian or some other denominational school, or are UK schools, those equivalent to our public schools, just more adhering to biblical doctrine?
Awesome pictures all the way through... keep it up, and don't loose your spirits and enthusiasm over one day... find a pumpkin and carve it anyhow, and hand out candy to your house-mates:D
(haha get it? loose your spirits?? oh dear, I must be tired)
Cheerio!
Hi Peter!
I am so sorry to hear of the lack of Halloween as it is my favourite time of the year! For us dramatic types, we do love dressing up! And who doesn't love candy!
Anyways, I hope to be more communicative in the future, but it looks like you are having a great time in England.
Wow, the London Natural History Museum looks as amazing as the AMNH!
Talk to you later,
Megs
PS: I tried to find you in X3, but couldn't...alas!
Cheer up Peter,
There is always Guy Fawkes day with the fireworks, etc, and who know maybe you could dress up then.Take care of yourself.
just keep in mind that all kids are munkeys... the image of standing in front of a whole bunch of curious georges should keep you smiling! (wearing a big yellow hat is allowed, right?)
